An atmospheric river brought additional rain, strong winds, and flooding to the Bay Area Tuesday, with an increasing chance of thunderstorms later in the afternoon.

A house slid into a river in California after days of heavy rain. A mudslide caused the home to fall into the Russian River, in Forestville, California on February 4, 2025. Nobody was in the house when it crashed into the river.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Bay Area, as an atmospheric river storm ushers the return of wet weather to the region following a mostly dry January.
