From San Bernardino and Colton High, Dauer helped USC win two national titles before his 10-year MLB playing career.

Former MLB infielder Rich Dauer, who won a World Series as a player with the Baltimore Orioles and as a coach with the Houston Astros, has died at age 72, the O's announced.

Rich Dauer was inducted into the Orioles Hall of Fame in 2012 and has also been enshrined in the College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2021.
