Apple reveals iOS 18 usage data for the first time
Apple has shared the first details on user adoption of iOS 18 so far. The company says that iOS 18 is currently installed on 68% of all iPhones and on 76% of iPhones introduced in the last four years. These numbers show that iOS 18 adoption is on the same trajectory as iOS 17 adoption last year.

The adoption rate is even higher for iPhones launched in the last four years, with a whopping 76% running iOS 18. The data also shows that 19% of all iPhones are still running on iOS 17, while 13% are on an even older version. Among iPhones launched in the last four years, 19% still use iOS 17 and 5% are on an earlier version.

Apple posted iOS 18 adoption rates on Friday, which are only slightly different from the numbers for iOS 17 a year ago. The company says iOS 18 has been installed on 68 percent of all iPhones (as of January 21) and 76 percent of models from the last four years.
