Dec 19, 2020 · We’ve had questions about the use of the N word on Twitch. Use with a hard R is not allowed, period. We also automatically block the word across Twitch including in chat. Additionally, regardless of spelling or pronunciation, slurs used for the purpose of hate or harassment are not allowed.

Apr 2, 2023 · Here's a partial workaround I noticed: At some point, at least in the Twitch app for iOS, they added an option when watching a stream for "Chat Only". To use it, start watching a stream or VOD, tap the Gear ⚙️ icon in the top right of the video controls overlay, and then choose the "Chat Only" option.

Nov 8, 2020 · at the point that it becomes pure chaos, it's more about the feeling of it as a whole, then of individual messages. i didn't really get it at first, and i still dont really participate in it, but it can be a lot of fun, when chat as a whole react to a streamer and start trolling them, it becomes a back and forth that can be pretty engaging.

Apr 2, 2023 · VODs no longer show the live chat during playback When under the "Browse" tab, the games shown to you are algorithmically determined, with no way to view games by "Most Played". Half the games in the first few rows of my Browse section have less than 50 viewers, and I now have to hunt and scroll...

But if you try to participate in twitch chat plays (TPP, salty bets counts as a game too, etc) to bypass the one game rule, everyone in that chat room will suddenly turn into a supernova explosion, then a black hole... Killing everyone. This is serious.
